I've started this blog with the intent of writing about anything and everything that interests me. Should I ever feel the need to talk about what I'm up to, or simply things that I like, this will be the place that I'll do it. Topics can--and likely will--range anywhere from technology, video games, sports, movies, television shows, or just my occasional daily happenings. I'll try to mix it up and keep things interesting.
This is my second blog here on Blogger, the first being this one. The reason for the shift of blogs is primarily due to another shift--one that's taken place in my mind over the past several months. I was in a very different place mentally when I started that other blog, and I want to break away from any negative feelings that may still be lingering there. I may still update the other blog when appropriate, but I want to do something new and fresh, and I feel that this is the best way to support that.
As you can see, I've completely and unremorsefully ripped off the IFC television show Portlandia for my title and bird icon representing the blog. I'm sure Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein won't mind. As a Portland native, I reserve the right to put a bird on it. I put a fair bit of work into making this blog look the way I wanted, but I know myself, and it's likely not going to look the same for very long. I apologize in advance for all of the ridiculous visual modifications that this blog is sure to undergo in the coming weeks and months.
To kick this blog off proper, I've written a little something about both an album that I've been obsessed with lately, as well as a third season premiere of a television show that I downright love. If things go according to plan, I'll also soon be writing a good bit about a cool piece of technology that I plan to start playing around with, as well as a little game called Star Trek Online, which has recently gone free-to-play.
If you like something you've read here, leave a comment and let me know! If you hate something you've read, feel free to constructively tear me apart about it. I won't take it personally. Part of my doing this is to help build my skills with writing in a variety of contexts; comments will help me with that.
If you'd like to subscribe to this blog via RSS for Google Reader or any other RSS feed aggregator, a drop-down menu can be found for that at the very bottom of the page.
And with that, thanks for reading. Let's see where this crazy thing goes.

Hey Justin,
ReplyDeleteHope you don't mind me following your exploits over here on this blog. I'd always enjoyed reading your Giant Bomb blogs, but noticed they'd become less frequent. I look forward to reading whatever you put up in this space in the coming months.
Hey, man! Yeah, I've gone away from Giant Bomb a bit, but feel free to follow me here and read whatever I come up with. :)
ReplyDeleteI need to visit GB some more just to read *your* blogs there. I was/am a fan.
